WHO ARE WE?
Design Rewind is Billy Strahan Jr. & Jonathan Towers, a British rock/pop band from the North West of England. Billy Strahan is lead vocalist and drummer; Jonathan Towers plays bass with backing vocals.

Design Rewind burst onto the scene in 2016 as the brainchild of Billy and Towers, but the journey began amidst the vibrant streets of Burnley in the United Kingdom back in 2003.​
Billy and Towers first met in High School back in late 2003. United by their shared passion for music, the duo quickly discovered a mutual obsession with Metallica, setting the stage for a journey through the realms of metal during the late 2000s.
As they navigated their formative years, Billy and Jonathan's musical horizons expanded. Their ears were opened to the sounds of Toto, Tower of Power, Steely Dan, and Hall & Oates, among many others. With each new discovery, Design Rewind's sonic landscape evolved, trying to blend the raw power of metal with the soulful finesse of their newfound influences.​

Drawing inspiration from the golden age of pop and rock, Design Rewind is influenced by the legendary songwriters of the 1970s and 80s. Imagine the melodies of Hall & Oates colliding with the wonderful harmony of Steely Dan alongside an infatuation with rock and metal and you'll begin to grasp the essence of their sound. But make no mistake, while they may draw from the past, Design Rewind is firmly planted in the present, breathing new life into the current music scene.​
